October:
Cheapflights.co.uk was one of the top three travel websites voted for by the readers of the Sunday Times Travel Magazine as their “favourite travel website” with Cheapflights cited as having the “best deals on flights”.
Cheapflights has been ranked in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA 2009 rankings, which recognises the 500 fastest-growing technology companies across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) based on percentage revenue growth over a five year period.
September:
Cheapflights Ltd. was ranked in the Microsoft Sunday Times Tech Track 100 survey of the fastest growing UK private technology firms for the sixth year running. Cheapflights is the only company in the history of the award to have achieved this distinction
June:
Cheapflights is short-listed for the Travelmole Web Awards under the Airline category.
Cheapflights is short-listed for this year's Travolution Awards in the Best Meta Search/Price Comparison Website category.
May:
Cheapflights is nominated a finalist in the National Business Awards Growth Strategy of the Year category for the Southern Region.
Cheapflights gained a place on Media Momentum’s Larger Companies top 15 list. This list is for fast-growing larger companies, with revenues of at least €10m in the base year. This is the fifth consecutive year that Cheapflights has been recognised as one of the fast-growing digital UK companies.
February:
Cheapflights.ca, the Company’s Canadian site moves from “Light” site to full launch. The full Canadian site is based on the new common international technology platform and delivers a huge increase in content and functionality.
March:
Cheapflights made it into Media Momentums Larger Companies List, 2009. Having been a top 50 fastest growing digital company for four consecutive years up to 2008. Media Momentum created an extended list for larger companies to take into account the disadvantage larger companies have when compared to young start-ups.
April:
Cheapflights.com.au launched in Phase 1 “Light” format . The site serves consumers in Australia and New Zealand.
