December: Cheapflights is listed by The Times as one of the 20 best travel websites in 2008. The article says the site "continues to impress with its expanding directory of travel tips" and praises the "simple, clean design".
Cheapflights' Canadian website, Cheapflights.ca, is relaunched. The site now includes new sections for deals and travel guides.
October:Cheapflug.de is launched: Cheapflights’ new website for the German travel market, and the first non-English site.
Cheapflights.co.uk is placed No. 1 by The Times on its top 10 travel websites to watch in November. The Times called Cheapflights' Travel Tips "a goldmine of holiday hints"
Cheapflights is included, for the fifth year running, in The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100. The league table ranked Britain's fastest-growing private technology companies based on sales growth over the latest three-year period. Cheapflights' ranking this year is 38. Of the three companies to have featured in the league table for the past five consecutive years, Cheapflights is the fastest growing.
September: Cheapflights makes the shortlist of the Travel Service Provider of the Year category in the TTG Awards 2008, London.
July: Cheapflights.co.uk is highlighted in The Mirror’s "ultimate money-saving websites" feature. One of only 40 sites listed, Cheapflights is in the newspaper’s round-up of the top sites for the way it "tracks down bargain flights"
May: Hitwise announces that www.cheapflights.co.uk is a Top 10 award winner for the quarter January-March 2008. During this period, www.cheapflights.co.uk ranked No. 7 based on market share of visits among all UK websites in the Hitwise Travel - Agencies industry.
Cheapflights appoints Liane Hornsey Cheapflights’ advisory panel.
April: Hugo Burge wins the “British Travel Industry’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award”.
Hugo Burge, Vice President and Head of International, has been nominated a finalist for the British Travel Industry Hall of Fame Young Manager of the Year Award.
March: Cheapflights was a Media Momentum Top 50 Fastest Growing Digital Media Company for the fourth consecutive year.
The Chicago Tribune names Cheapflights.com as a top ten "Heavyweight" US travel Website.
The Times lists Cheapflights.co.uk as one of the ten travel websites to watch, calling it "one of the most simple and comprehensive flight search websites in the UK".
February: www.cheapflights.co.uk is a Hitwise Top 10 Award winner for October-December 2007. The UK's leading price comparison website is ranked No. 6 by visits among all United Kingdom websites in the Hitwise Travel - Agencies industry.
January: Cheapflights Ltd traffic (from the UK, US and Canada sites) reaches an all-time high in January of 8.4 million.
Cheapflights is announced as one of four finalists in the Online Business of the Year Award category of the Fast Growth Business Awards 2008.
