Trip Planning Made Easy With www.cheapflights.com

Back to the 2001 Press Releases

Already one of the UK’s favourite sites for researching flight prices, cheapflights.com now offers viewers a comprehensive ‘Trip Planning’ section, found on the site’s homepage. ‘Trip Planning’ aims to aid the viewer with every aspect of planning their trip. It has advice and links on matters such as DVT, where to find the perfect map and researching airport facilities.

Holidaymakers and business travellers alike can also buy travel books, maps and luggage in the site’s newly launched ‘Travel Shop’. Amazon, The Travel Bookshop, Luggage Express and Stanfords are just some of the providers working with cheapflights.com.

Useful links to sites that can offer tips on packing, worldwide electricity requirements and credit card websites (including Visa, Mastercard and American Express) are also offered

David Soskin, joint chief executive officer cheapflights.com said, "At cheapflights.com we aim to be a useful tool for all travellers who wish to plan effectively for their trips. Now, as well as researching flight prices and accommodation, viewers can even find information on airport parking, baggage allowances, visas and a whole lot more."

Editor's Notes: www.cheapflights.com, which was founded in 1996, is the most comprehensive online resource in the UK for researching cheap airfares. Its many destination pages also enable independent travellers to research and prepare every aspect of their trip.

In January 2001, cheapflights announced record traffic figures of 671,000 unique visitors and 6.5 million page impressions (source: Doubleclick Inc).
