Following the huge success of its flight-based travel portal, cheapflights.com has launched a new accommodation site, cheapnights.com. A neutral resource for worldwide accommodation, from cottages in Ireland to island hideaways plus all major hotel chains, the new site launches with 60 existing accommodation partners.
Viewers can see prices, offers and promotions from accommodation providers around the world, for more than 380 destinations. A global website, cheapnights.com provides access for its viewers to the websites of American, Canadian, European and Australian companies as well as to many other parts of the world.
David Soskin, joint chief executive officer at cheapnights.com commented, "This new venture is everything a normal internet start-up is not. We are launching on the back of a highly successful, top five-rated UK travel website, cheapflights.com, with its existing technology, partners and viewers. A link from the cheapflights.com site is already taking viewers directly onto cheapnights.com.
"There is no other travel site in the UK which contains so many accommodation options in one place. What we have done is make it much easier for travelers to research their accommodation, by taking diverse information and bringing it all together.
"Viewers will find on cheapnights.com many of the advantages that cheapflights.com has always offered them: simplicity and above all transparency."
The site's A to Z destination search makes it easy for viewers to find exactly what they need. Unlike most other websites, cheapnights "deep links" to its partners sites. 'Deep' links to partner's sites mean that viewers are taken straight to their chosen destination. For example, for accommodation in Dublin click on 'D' then 'Dublin', click on the chosen provider, for example, Leisurehunt, and the viewer is taken to the Dublin accommodation page on Leisurehunt's site.
To celebrate the launch of the new site, cheapnights.com is offering viewers the chance to win £200 of vouchers for The Hotel Shop. Just click on the competition logo on the home page and answer two simple questions. The Hotel Shop offers a choice of more than 8,000 hotels worldwide.
The site is also linked to the cheapflights.com website for viewers' flight needs.
Editor's Notes: cheapnights.com currently has more than 60 accommodation providers on the site, ranging from large global accommodation search engines such as ase.net and leisurehunt.com to smaller specialist accommodation providers such as Shamrock Cottages and Budget Barbados.
Accommodation is organised into hotels, accommodation rentals, B&Bs, accommodation with activities and youth and student categories.
cheapnights.com follows the success of cheapflights.com and is the most comprehensive online resource in the UK for researching cheap airfares. Its many destination pages also enable independent travelers to research and prepare every aspect of their trip.
cheapflights.com is an independent company, free from interference by any media, technology or travel conglomerate.
cheapflights.com pioneered comprehensive flight price details on the internet in 1996.
The site is all that independent travelers need for planning their trips, with comprehensive information on the best flight deals and operators for worldwide travel.
It is dedicated to providing the best service, using a range of technologies to suit everyone from net virgins to web warriors.
cheapflights.com is always listed amongst the UK's top ten travel websites, and usually among the top five.
cheapflights.com currently receives more than 5.0 million page visits each month. Since 1998, it has had seven million visitors.
cheapflights.com estimates that more than £100 million of air tickets are sold via the site each year.
cheapflights.com also offers a booking system, in partnership with Travel Select, which can also be used to research departure times and availability.
Apart from flight information, each destination page enables the viewer to research and prepare every aspect of their trip, including hotels, car hire, weather, health, visa requirements and travel warnings.
Unlike most travel sites cheapflights.com does not sell its own tickets, and it is therefore able to offer a more comprehensive and unbiased range of travel products
