Prince Philip is the royal British travellers would least like to travel with according to a recent poll conducted by leading travel price comparison website, Cheapflights.co.uk. Of the over 10,000 respondents, 22.7% stated that they would rather give the Duke of Edinburgh the royal wave goodbye than be stuck on holiday with him. Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, came second in the poll ‘winning’ 19.9% of the vote with Prince Edward gaining third place at 13.3%.
Prince William confirmed his place in the nation’s heart by receiving just 1.3% of nominations.
Liz Faherty, Director of Business Development for Cheapflights.co.uk says: “When Brits travel abroad, they want to take a holiday with someone caring, community aware and energetic, not someone prone to make cultural mistakes or who seems aloof.
“Prince William has exhibited his commitment to world affairs and interest in foreign climes through his GAP year volunteering and undertaking projects such as his period spent teaching football to the children of Rodrigues last year.
“No matter who your travelling companion might be, you will always enjoy your holiday more if you save money when making a booking. With the numerous offers available on Cheapflights.co.uk, there’s sure to be something available for everyone from the prissiest princess to the most demanding duke.”
The poll question was distributed to British consumers on the Cheapflights.co.uk newsletter issued every week to over 1.25 million subscribers nationwide.
