Cheapflights appoints product director

Cheapflights Ltd, the leading travel price comparison website in the UK, is pleased to announce that it has recruited Lisa Underkoffler as Product Director. Lisa will report to recently appointed Group Managing Director, Chris Cuddy, and will be based at the Company's US office in Boston, Massachusetts. Lisa will lead both the Boston and the London product development teams.

Cheapflights Ltd. pioneered the concept of online publishing for travel deals in 1996 with its radical Cheapflights.co.uk flights price search and comparison portal. In 2003, Cheapflights launched its USA site Cheapflights.com which already attracts over 1.5 million unique users a month.

After nearly ten years of profitable growth, Cheapflights announced last year its intention to strengthen its senior management team. This is to enable the company to accelerate its next period of growth and to exploit the major opportunities open to the Company in the UK, US and other overseas territories.

Lisa joins Cheapflights with over 20 years experience in product design and management. She has managed development and product teams for many innovative products such as desktop publishing, web tools for office workers and pen-based applications for tablet PCs. Her first major product in software was VisiCalc, the first electronic spreadsheet. She has held senior management positions at various software companies including Lotus/IBM, Interleaf, Slate and Trellix.

At Cheapflights Lisa will be responsible for managing the research, design and development of new features, functionality, services and product offerings for both the Cheapflights UK and Cheapflights US sites, as well as other Cheapflights properties.
