Leading flights website comes up trumps in online awards

Online deals specialist Cheapflights.co.uk has been named best travel site in the Best of the .net Awards 2005.
The awards, which were organised by website design specialist publication .net magazine, in cooperation with leading online research agency MetrixLab, received more than 100,000 votes from internet users.
Cheapflights beat established brands such as British Airways and Thomas Cook as well as newer entrants Expedia and Lastminute to win the ‘Best Travel Site’ category.
Cheapflights stood alongside an impressive line-up of award winners with the BBC getting recognition for having the best news site and Amazon for the best shopping site.
