London, February 9, 2009: Cheapflights, the international leader in flights price search and comparison, with sites in North America, UK and Germany, announces that its Canadian site (www.cheapflights.ca) has now been fully launched using the company's bespoke common international technology platform.
The Canadian site was "light launched" with basic features in April 2007 and successfully completed this phase six weeks ago. The current Cheapflights.ca relaunch follows the successful update of Cheapflights' UK and US sites (www.cheapflights.co.uk and www.cheapflights.com) respectively in autumn and spring 2008.
The Canadian site has been providing Canadian consumers with a basic multi-partner search by date tool and also a hand-picked deals service. As announced earlier, with only this limited product service, the site has successfully increased its visits traffic year on year by 100 per cent this January.
