Air France flights and information

Airline Overview

The national French carrier, Air France joined with Dutch airline KLM in 2004 to create Air France-KLM, the third-largest airline in the world. Both airlines, however, still continue to fly under their own brand names. Air France has its hub at Paris Charles de Gaulle, and headquarters at Paris Orly, Lyon and Nice. It flies to more than 180 destinations in Africa, Asia, Europe and North and South America. Most international flights depart from Paris CDG.

How to find the best deals for Air France flights

Air France's website has a Special Offers page, linked to from the homepage, which has a range of the best deals on offer. It lists the best deals available for that month, as well as a range of other deals such as flights to the US and Europe and Business Class discounts. The booking engine also displays fares for three days either side of your chosen date, so you can select the cheapest deal if you're able to be a bit flexible on dates.

Check-in

Check-in times vary by destination and departure airport. Approximate times of desks closing are 30 minutes before departure in Europe and one hour before departure for flights departing from or to the United States. There are exceptions to these times, for example flights from London City to Paris Orly have a desk closing time of just 20 minutes before the flight. Check for your individual route before flying.
