    Allegiant Air Check-in

    Online check-in is available from 24 hours to one hour before departure. All baggage must be checked-in at least one hour before departure. Allegiant recommends that passengers arrive at the airport at least two hours before take-off (check-in desks close 45 minutes before scheduled departure).

    Allegiant Air baggage allowance

    Hand luggage: One piece of cabin baggage plus a personal item such as a purse or laptop may be brought on board. There's no weight limit but the dimensions must not exceed 9in H x 14in W x 22in D (23 cm x 35cm x 56cm) and the bag must be able to be stowed under your seat or in the overhead bin. Food items or duty-free merchandise may also be brought onboard.

    Checked: There's no free allowance and fees are priced by route. The price of the first checked bag is $19.99 online ($35 at the airport) on most routes. The second piece of luggage also costs $19.99 online ($35 at the airport) on the majority of routes. Third and fourth bags cost $50 online and at the airport.

    Excess: The fees for overweight bags 23-32kg (51-70 pounds) is $50. For luggage weighing between 32 and 45kg (71-100 pounds) the fee is $75. Oversized bags (the outside measurements exceed 203cm or 80 inches) is $75.

    Varies by aircraft but in general the seat pitch is 76-81cm (30-32in).

    Pre-arranged seating

    Open seating is the system (numbers are assigned at check-in on a first-come, first-served basis) unless passengers have purchased seat assignments (can be done online or at the airport). The fee ranges up to $29 per person each way. Priority boarding may also be purchased for $9.99 per person per flight.

    Passenger change details

    Changes to flight times, dates and names can be made online by logging in to www.allegiantair.com. Fees are levied for these changes - $50 to cancel a flight, for example. No changes or cancellations are permitted within 24 hours of the flight. Purchasing Trip Flex at the time of booking enables passengers to make changes to the date, time and destination without incurring a fee.

    Child fares

    Lap infants (15 days to two years) fly free of charge. There's no discount for junior flyers.

    Senior fares

    There's no discount for senior flyers.

    Pets

    Pets (cats and dogs) are allowed to travel in the cabin with their owners. The fee is $100 each way. There is no fee for service animals.

    Carrying musical instruments

    Instruments must be in a case. A reservation must be made for the instrument at the regular fare and large instruments must be secured in the first window seat aft of a floor–to–ceiling bulkhead. Seats are limited in availability and passengers should contact the airline at the time of booking.

    In-flight service

    Drinks and snacks are available for purchase on board. Prices range from $1.99 to $12.99. There's no in-flight entertainment on flights.

    Air miles

    Allegiant does not have a frequent-flyer scheme.

    Airline alliances

    Allegiant is not a member of any of the big airline alliances. The in-house package holiday seller is Allegiant Vacations, which has arrangements with hotels in Las Vegas, Orlando and Daytona Beach.
