    Blue Islands Airways Check-in

    Online check-in opens 48 hours before scheduled departure and closes two hours before take-off. For domestic flights, passengers should be at the gate a minimum of 15 minutes before take-off; 25 minutes for international flights.

    Blue Islands Airways baggage allowance

    Each passenger is given a free 20kg allowance including cabin luggage. Transporting any item heavier than 20kg is subject to space on the aircraft.

    Hand luggage: The maximum weight is 6kg with dimensions of 40cm x 30cm x 20cm (including wheels, handles and pockets).

    Checked luggage: The maximum size of hold baggage is 81cm x 40.5cm x 35.5cm (with wheels, handles and pockets).

    Excess luggage: There are no excess-baggage charges.

    Passenger change details

    Changes to passenger name, flight and date times can be made at any time up to one hour in advance of the scheduled departure by calling the reservations number (08456 20 21 22). There is no fee for changes, however, there may be a charge for upgrading to a different flight.

    Child fares

    The fare for lap infants is £10 per flight on all routes. The minimum age for unaccompanied children is eight.

    Senior fares

    There's no discount for older travellers.

    Pets

    Guide and hearing dogs travel free of charge on all flights. Domestic pets (dogs and cats) will be carried by prior arrangement on Jersey-Guernsey flights.

    Carrying musical instruments

    The normal baggage rules apply. If in doubt, contact the airline.

    In-flight service

    Complimentary refreshments are served on flights from Jersey and Guernsey to London City, Manchester, Zurich and Geneva (ATR fleet). Executive lounges at Jersey and Guernsey airports are open to all passengers.

    Air miles

    Business Advantage is the membership account for frequent flyers. To qualify, passengers must spend £5,000 per year on flights.

    Airline food link

    There's a complimentary service on flights between Jersey and Zurich/Geneva and on some UK mainland flights.

    Airline overview

    Blue Islands Airways (formerly Rockhopper) is headquartered in Saint Peter Port, Guernsey. It flies between the Channel Islands, to the Isle of Man and to the UK (Bristol, Bournemouth, Southampton, London City and Manchester).

    Blue Islands flies small aircraft - the ATR 42, which can carry up to 46 passengers, and the Jetstream that can hold up to 19 passengers. In contrast to many airlines today Blue Islands doesn't charge for paying with a credit or debit card, there's a free baggage allowance and passengers may change their tickets free of charge.
