Airline Overview
Blue Islands Airways (formerly Rockhopper) is headquartered in Alderney, Channel Islands. Its destinations are the Channel Islands, Bournemouth, Shoreham (Brighton City), the Isle of Man and St. Brieuc, Brittany. The airline was started in 2001 to carry perishable goods from Bournemouth to Alderney, but it soon began scheduled passenger service.
Check-in desks only open one hour before a flight is scheduled to depart (40 minutes in Alderney). Blue Islands will not board passengers who arrive later than 40 minutes prior to departure time for off-island flights or 25 minutes for inter-island flights.

Planes are small, so baggage limits are also small. The total free baggage allowance weight is 20kg, including hand luggage. The maximum size for a bag is 158 linear cm (length + width + height). Notify Blue Islands as far in advance as possible if you will have excess baggage, to reduce the probability that it will have to be sent on a later flight.
