Airline Overview
The Scandinavian low-cost airline is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Sterling flies to Edinburgh from Stockholm and Copenhagen and to London from Stockholm, Copenhagen, Aalborg and Billund. In total, the airline flies to 40 destinations throughout Europe.

Hand luggage: one item is permitted per person, weighing up to 10kg with dimensions smaller than 55 x 40 x 25cm. Certain items can only be carried on including computers, musical instruments, valuable documents, bottles and flasks and jewellery. If the weight of your hand luggage exceeds 10kg, these items will not be allowed to be checked in.
Checked: The maximum weight for checked items is 20kg per person.
Excess: Overweight items are charged at €8 per kg.

The date and time of the flight can be changed for a fee of €40 per passenger and any additional cost for the new flight, though changes can be made free of charge for two hours after making the booking. Changes can be made at the call centre up until two hours before travel or online until 24 hours before travel.

None. Infants under two years old can travel on an adult's lap for €27. Children over 12 fly as adults.

Sterling Airlines accepts dogs and cats for transport as a carry-on or as a checked item. The maximum dimension for a pet and carrier as a carry-on item is 50 x 40 x 25cm with a maximum weight of 10kg.The carrier must be waterproof and kept on the floor with the animal in the carrier during the entire flight. Two cats or dogs may occupy the same carrier, provided they are from the same litter or are familiar with each other. There will be a charge for pets brought as carry-on items in the cabin.

Standard baggage allowances apply. A separate seat may be purchased to transport a large or fragile instrument (in accordance with Sterling Airlines’ regulations) instead of checking it. An extra charge applies to checked items that exceed the standard size allowance.
