Airline Overview
Aberdeen-based bmi regional is the local arm of UK airline bmi. It operates from a number of airports outside London, flying smaller planes than its parent operation (it has an all jet fleet of Embraer 135 and 145 aircraft). Most of the airline's flights are from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Leeds to destinations across Europe such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Lille. Bmi regional was the most punctual scheduled airline in the UK in 2006.
Online check-in with home print boarding card is now available on most routes. Bmi online check-in opens 24 hours before departure and closes one hour before departure. You can also check in by telephone or at a self check-in machine at most UK airports, which close 40 minutes prior to departure.
Check in times for desks vary by airport, but range from 30 minutes to an hour. The bmi check-in information page provides full details of check-in times by airport
