Online check-in opens 24 hours before departure and closes 30 minutes before the scheduled take-off. You can also check-in by mobile or at a self check-in machine at most UK airports (includes Aberdeen, Belfast City, Dublin, Edinburgh, London Heathow and Manchester), which close 30 minutes prior to departure for UK domestic and Western European short-haul flights and 45 minutes before take off for all other routes.
At the airport, check-in closes 30 minutes before take-off for domestic and short-haul flights. For other flights departing from the UK, check-in closes 30 minutes before departure for Business-Class passengers and 45-60 minutes for Economy flyers.
Hand luggage: One piece plus a personal item. Maximum dimensions of the cabin bag are 55 x 40 x 23cm.
Checked: Economy-Class flyers may stow a number of pieces of luggage weighing up to 20kg. Business-Class travellers may check in up to 30kg of luggage, in a number of pieces.
Excess: Charges on short-haul flights (UK and to/from Dublin) are £10 (€12) per kg. There's an additional bag charge of £15 per item for customers travelling on Economy S class fares and below. If the combined weight of all pieces of luggage is more than 20kg, the fee is £10 per kg.

Economy fares can be changed for a fee of £50 (€60) per person, per sector plus any difference in fares. An Economy Flexible ticket is refundable and changes may be made to the itinerary without charge. Name changes are not permitted.
On regional flights, Aberdeen Dyce to London Heathrow for example, infants (under two years) may travel on their parent's lap for 10 per cent of the adult fare. Children aged 2-11 pay the full adult fare.
bmi Regional does not offer discounts for older travellers.
Contact Reservations in advance if you wish to bring your pet. Depending on the aircraft it may not be possible to transport your pet.
Standard baggage allowances apply. A separate seat may be purchased for a large instrument instead of checking it.
bmi Regional flyers enjoy complimentary food and drink. Business travellers may choose from a range of complimentary hot food and beverages throughout their flight - a breakfast service for flights departing before 9.30am and a hot meal service with drinks post-9.30am.

It operates from a number of airports outside London (Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and East Midlands) to almost 20 destinations, using its Embraer 135 and 145 aircraft.
