Following its acquisition of BA Connect, Flybe is Europe’s largest regional airline. Based in Exeter, the airline operates out of more UK airports than any other airline. It flies 157 routes (57 destinations) to 12 countries.
- Check-in times: desks open two hours before departure. For domestic flights, the desk closes 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time and for international flights, check-in closes 60 minutes before take-off. Minimum check-in times are 30 minutes with luggage or 20 minutes with just hand baggage on domestic flights, and one hour with luggage or 45 minutes with hand baggage only on international flights.
- Baggage allowance: one piece of cabin baggage, up to 10kg (22lbs) with maximum dimensions 50x35x23cm including wheels, handles and side pockets. Flybe now charges for checking hold luggage. The cost is £5 per item per flight if booked online or £9 at the airport or booked via the call centre. In Economy Class, the maximum hold baggage allowance (if purchased) is 23kg (50lbs). In Economy Plus Class, the free hold baggage allowance is 30kg (66lbs). The excess baggage rate is £5.50 per kg.
- Change the passenger name or flight: : name changes can only be made up to two hours before departure and cost £30 per person per sector plus any difference in fares. Itinerary changes can be made online, by contacting the call centre or at the airport. Economy Plus travellers can change details free, but route changes may have higher fare charges. For other travellers, online changes cost £25 per passenger, per flight plus any difference in fare; call-centre changes cost £30 per passenger per one-way flight plus any applicable upgrade fee.
- Child fares: no child fares, but infants are carried at 12 per cent of the adult fare.
- Pre-assigned seating: yes, but not within 24 hours of travel. Seats can be reserved by telephoning the call centre after booking for £16 for emergency exit and bulkhead seats and £8 for all other seats (per sector). Economy Plus passengers can assign seats free.
- Legroom: seat pitch: 78cm (31in).
- In-flight service: yes, for purchase. Free for Economy Plus passengers only

- Arrival airports: airline flies into major airports such as Paris CDG and London Gatwick. Its other destination airports are well-located and close to city centres.
