Airline Overview
The Central and Eastern European carrier Wizz Air first took flight in May 2004. Based in Hungary and Poland, flights are available from Belfast, Bournemouth, Cork, Coventry, Doncaster Sheffield, Durham Tees Valley, Glasgow, London Luton and London Stansted to destinations such as Budapest, Gdansk, Warsaw, Katowice and Posnan.
The check-in desks close 40 minutes before departure. If you have special service requests or special needs you should check-in two hours before departure.

Hand baggage: One piece of hand baggage is permitted, with a maximum weight of 10kg and maximum dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20cm. A personal item, such as a hand bag, umbrella or pair of crutches is also permitted.
Checked: One bag, with a maximum weight of 20kg is allowed.
Excess: Fee is €7 per kg for an overweight bag. A second piece of luggage can be carried for €5 per piece if booked in advance online or €10 per piece at the airport. You must purchase a separate seat for any fragile item or item that weighs more than 5kg, cannot be stored in the overhead compartment, or stowed under the seat, for example, musical instruments, vases, typewriters, and paintings. Oversize baggage includes skis, bicycles, diving equipment and "antlers and trophies".

The date and time of the flight can be changed online up until three hours before the flight departs for an administrative fee of €25, plus any difference in the cost of the new flight. If the new flight price is lower no refund will be given.
Passenger names cannot be changed.

None. Infants under the age of two can travel on an adult's lap. Children under fourteen cannot travel unaccompanied

Animals are not carried on any Wizz Air flight, with the exception of guide dogs on domestic flights.

Standard baggage allowances apply. Alternatively, at the passenger’s option, a separate seat may be purchased for the transport of a large or fragile instrument instead of checking it into the aircraft’s baggage hold.
