Located halfway between Connecticut’s largest cities, Hartford and Springfield, Bradley International Airport (BDL) processes more than 350 daily flights, and – with five million passengers each year – it's the state’s busiest airport. The airport is also the location of the Bradley Air National Guard Base.

Getting into Town

Train: There are no train or subway services. 

Bus: Connecticut Transit operates a bus from the airport into downtown Hartford seven days a week. The Bradley Flyer route runs hourly, and costs $1.25. 

Taxi: Metered taxis are available at the airport. The average fare to Hartford is $36, and a tip of 10-15 per cent is customary.

Car Parking

There is short-term parking within easy walking distance of the terminal, and charges $2.50 for half an hour, $4.50 for an hour, and $6.25 for up to 90 minutes. The long-term car park is serviced by a free shuttle to the terminal, and charges $6 for up to three hours, with a daily maximum of $11 and a weekly maximum of $55.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: ATMs, public phones. 

Luggage: Lost luggage queries are handled by the airlines concerned. All items found in the terminal are turned over to the Bradley Police. 

Conference and business: The US Airways Club has business facilities, including work stations, photocopy and fax services, and a conference room. The Club is only available to members. 

Other facilities: Other facilities at Bradley International Airport include a shoeshine service, and access and amenities for disabled passengers. 

Wi-Fi: There is free Wi-Fi available throughout the airport.
