Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek International is one of Brazil's most modern airports, and its third busiest. A second runway was completed in the past couple of years, which increased its potential capacity to seven million passengers a year. Airlines flying from there include Gol, Tam, Varig and OceanAir.

Road: Taxi: Taxis are available 24 hours a day. They are the easiest and fastest way to get to the city centre (journey time: 15 minutes). Bus: Bus no.102 runs to the bus station in the centre of Brasilia (journey time: 30 minutes). Microbuses no.30 and no.11 run from the airport to the bus station in the centre of Brasilia. All transport to the city centre can be accessed directly outside the terminal building after baggage reclaim.

Long- and short-term parking is available for 800 cars in the airport car park, which is located within easy walking distance of the terminal.

Money and communications: There are two banks, six ATMs and a post office at the airport. The bureau de change is located at the Banco de Brasil.
Eating and drinking: The restaurant is open 11am-11pm daily. In addition, there are a variety of snack bars, two of which are open 24 hours.
Shopping: Shops at the airport include a music shop, gift shops and bookshops.
Luggage: A left-luggage facility is available.
Other facilities: There is a first aid station and a travel agent at the airport.

There are no hotels at the airport. Brasilia Tourist Information (tel: +55 (0)61 364 9488), which is situated at the airport, can book rooms in advance or upon arrival. Hotels located in the city’s hotel sector include the five-star Kubitschek Plaza (tel: +55 (0)61 319 3530), the four-star Eron (tel: +55 (0)61 329 4000), the four-star Manhattan Plaza (tel: +55 (0)61 319 3544), the four-star Torre Palace (tel: +55 (0)61 328 5554), the three-star Casablanca (tel: +55 (0)61 328 8586) and the three-star Plaza Bittar (tel: +55 (0)61 328 7077). Another popular hotel is the Blue Tree Park (tel: +55 (0)61 424 7000) on the Paranoa Lake, 7 miles (12km) from the airport, which is popular with both leisure and business travellers for its excellent facilities and convention centre.

The airport is equipped with TTDs, disabled toilets, lifts and ramps. Assistance is available and wheelchairs can be provided. Passengers should contact the information desk inside the Departures hall for assistance. There are first aid and medical facilities available (including Yellow Fever vaccinations) 24 hours a day in Arrivals.

There is a VIP lounge at the airport. The post office (open 24 hours) has telephones and fax machines for business use, although there are no conference facilities at the airport. The PlazaConvention in the hotel sector in the centre of Brasilia consists of two hotels (the four-star Manhattan Plaza and the five-star Kubitschek Plaza), which both have full conference facilities, including rooms seating between 35 and 219 people.
