Cologne-Bonn Airport, located between the two cities of Cologne and Bonn, is the sixth-largest airport in Germany. Its two terminals and three runways can handle up to 13 million passengers per year. It is the hub for the German low-cost airlines Germanwings and TUIfly.

Passengers can transfer between terminals on a free shuttle bus that runs between the Arrivals level of both terminals and car park P3.

Rail: S-Bahn trains run from the airport railway station, which is situated between Terminals 1 and 2, to Cologne Hauptbahnhof (central station) and other destinations in the city.
Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside Terminals 1 and 2; a taxi from the airport to either Bonn or Cologne city centre takes around 15 minutes.
Bus: Airport shuttles are available to/from Cologne (journey time: 20 minutes) and Bonn (journey time: 35 minutes). There is also a service to Düsseldorf central station (journey time: 60 minutes) from Terminal 2.

There are two long-term multi-storey car parks (car parks P2 and P3) at the airport; P2 is situated in front of Terminal 2. A short-term/medium-term multi-storey car park P1 is situated in front of Terminal 1 and a car park, P-Nord, between car parks P2 and P3, is next to Terminal 2. There is a shuttle bus from car park P3 to the terminals, running 24 hours. There are disabled spaces and parking for women in car park P2; reservations can be made for women drivers and for security-monitored exclusive spaces (tel: +49 (0)2203 402 116).

Money and communications: Services include a post office in Terminal 2 Arrivals, as well as banks in both terminals (Departures), with ATMs and bureaux de change. Stamp and phone card machines are available in Terminal 1 Departures Areas B and C.
Eating and drinking: Restaurants, bars, fast-food outlets, snack bars and cafés are located in both terminals, in the Departures and Arrivals areas; the buffet-bars in Terminal 2 Arrivals and Departures are open 24 hours.
Shopping: There are duty-free shops in both terminals Departures and in Terminal 1 Arrivals, as well as various other shops in both Terminals, including a supermarket and delicatessen in Terminal 2 Arrivals.
Luggage: Left-luggage and a lost property office are situated adjacent to Terminal 2 Arrivals.
Other facilities: There is a travel centre in Terminal 2 and a hairdresser in Terminal 1 Arrivals. A first aid facility is situated in Terminal 1 Arrivals.

Disabled travellers are advised to request assistance and/or a wheelchair when booking their flight. Airport toilets are wheelchair-accessible; toilets are located on the Arrivals level near stairs/lift 2 in Area B and near stairs/lift 5 in Area C. There is a lift for wheelchairs in Terminal 1 between Entrances B and C. Parking spaces reserved for disabled passengers are located in car park P2, level 4, and in car park P3 (level 1); parking is free of charge for passengers who cannot walk, provided they display a valid disabled badge.
