Colorado Springs Municipal Airport (COS) is a jointly-owned civil and military hub, offering limited service to 13 American destinations. Colorado's second-busiest airport, it shares its site with Peterson Air Force Base.
Flights to Colorado Springs Municipal Airport are provided by US carriers only, and only between Colorado Springs and other major change-over destinations, such as Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Phoenix. Small and efficient, the airport provides a viable alternative to massive Denver International.

Taxi: Although located just 16km (10 miles) from downtown Colorado Springs, there is basically only one viable, reliable transportation option available to travellers, and that is a taxi from the airport into town. There are Ground Transportation telephones set up in the baggage reclaim area of the airport – but these will just connect you to private shuttle, limo and taxi companies, who might charge you a premium fee. If you are scheduled to arrive at night, call ahead and book a taxi (719-634 5000). During the day, taxis are readily available outside the terminal building. It will cost a maximum of $30 to get into Colorado Springs, and take about 15 minutes.

Colorado Springs Municipal Airport has safe, uncovered, short and long-term parking available for 5,400 vehicles. The parking area is located just a short walk from the terminal building and is divided into three sections: Short Term, Long Term, and Valet. Fees are: for Short Term, $1 for every 30 minutes (and a daily maximum of $8); for Long Term, $1 an hour (with a daily maximum of $6); and for Valet, a flat rate of $14 for the day.

Money and communications: There are two ATMs in Colorado Springs Municipal Airport: one on the first floor near baggage claim, and the other on the second floor between Gates 3 and 5. There is a FedEx drop box located near the entrance of the terminal building, on the lower level.
Luggage: Baggage carts are widely available to rent – they cost $3, though you only get $0.25 back when you return them. There is also a lost and found office, administered by the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Conference and business: No formal conference or business facilities are available, but there are data ports all over the airport for you to plug your laptop into, and wireless internet is available in all post-security passenger areas.
Other facilities: Other facilities at Colorado Springs Municipal Airport include a 24-hour interfaith chapel, family care rooms, vending machines, medical facilities, a shoeshine service, and basic access and facilities for disabled passengers.
