Newcastle Airport (NCL):www.newcastleairport.com is 10km (6 miles) northwest of the city centre.

To/from the airport: The Newcastle Airport Metro station is next to the passenger terminal. Buses leave every 20 minutes during the day. Airport Taxis is the official taxi service for the airport. Average fares to the city are £20-£25.

Facilities: Shops, bars, restaurants. Other facilities include a bank, bureau de change, ATMs, left luggage, baby care rooms, and a children's play area. There is a business facility in the main terminal equipped with fax, photocopier and Internet access.

Norwich International Airport (NWI):www.norwichairport.co.uk is 5km (3 miles) north of Norwich.

To/from the airport: There's no rail station at the airport but buses and taxis are available to take you to the station in Norwich. Buses - First Eastern Counties Bus No. 27 and a park-and-ride bus - depart at regular intervals. Taxis leave from outside the terminal.

Facilities: Bureau de change facilities and ATMs are available. There are two bars, a restaurant and a café in the main concourse and the departure lounge of the airport.

Southampton International Airport (SOU): www.southamptonairport.com is located 7km (4 miles) northeast of Southampton.

To/from the airport: There is a 50-metre walk to the rail station and the journey time to central Southampton is eight minutes. The U1C bus service runs between the airport. Taxis are available.

Facilities: The airport has ATMs, a currency exchange office and several cafes, restaurants and bars.

London Southend (SEN):www.southendairport.com The airport is located approximately 3km (2 miles) from Southend, Essex. 

To/from the airport: Trains and buses are the public transport options. Helicopters are available for the rich and busy. Taxis are available. 

Facilities: ATM, cafe/restaurant, VIP lounge, tourist information desk.

London Stansted Airport (STN):www.stanstedairport.com is 55km (35 miles) northeast of central London.

To/from the airport: The Stansted Express runs from London Liverpool Street. Local buses run to surrounding towns. Taxis are available and average fares to central London are £80-£100.

Facilities: There are restaurants, shops and bars in the terminal. Other facilities include ATMs, a bureau de change, business lounge and Internet cafe.
