Aberdeen Airport (ABZ): www.aberdeenairport.com The airport is situated 9km (approx 6 miles) northwest of Aberdeen.

To / from the airport: Dyce is the nearest rail station, about 3km (two miles) away, reachable by bus or taxi.

Facilities: Left luggage, bureau de change, bars, duty free, business facilities, play area and a restaurant.

Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS):www.ana-aeroportos.pt is located 7km (4 miles) north of the city.

To / from the airport: The closest metro stations, namely Gare do Oriente and Areeiro, are about 15 minutes from the airport. The No. 22 bus travels to the city centre. Taxis are available outside the arrivals and departures areas.

Facilities: Bureau de change, banks, tourist information, post office, duty-free shops and car hire.

Alicante Airport (ALC):www.aena.es is located 11km (7 miles) south of Alicante.

To/from the airport: Taxis are available at the airport. The taxi rank is situated in front of the Arrivals hall. Scheduled buses run every hour to/from Alicante central bus station. Other services run to Benidorm and Murcia. All buses depart from opposite the Arrivals hall.

Facilities: Bureau de change, ATMs and a post office, bars, restaurants and shops. There are lost property offices on the ground floor. There is no left-luggage facility at the airport. There is a 24-hour first aid service and a pharmacy.

Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN):www.arlanda.com is located 37km (23 miles) north of Stockholm.

To/from the airport: Arlanda Airport has two railway stations (Arlanda South and Arlanda North) and one under (Arlanda Central Station) under Skycity. Buses and taxis are available too.

Facilities: Duty-free shops, car rental, banks, bureau de change, children's play area, lost luggage and restaurant/bar.

John Paul II International Airport Krakow-Balice (KRK):www.krakowairport.pl The airport is located in the village of Balice, 11km (6.8 miles) west of Krakow. 

To/from the airport: The Balice Ekspres train departs from the Krakow Glowny railway station (200m from the terminal). Taxis and buses are available. 

Facilities: ATMs, currency exchange and post office, left-luggage and baggage-wrapping services, first-aid station, Internet kiosks.

Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD):www.aena.es is located 9km (5.6 miles) from the city.

To/from the airport: Metro train and buses depart at regular intervals. Official, metered taxis leave from outside the arrivals sections of the terminals.

Facilities: Banks, currency exchange, ATMs, shops, restaurants and bars, chapels, business centres, a post office and pharmacies.

Barcelona Airport (BCN):www.aena.es is located 12km (8 miles) southwest of central Barcelona.

To / from the airport: The Aerobus service goes to and from Placa de Catalunya every 15 minutes, dropping off at locations along the way. Trains run from the airport to various stations in the city centre every 30 minutes, costing around €2.40; the airport station is located near Terminal A and is connected to the terminal by a moving walkway. There are taxi ranks outside the airport terminals; taxis are metered.

Facilities: ATMs, currency exchange facilities, banks, shops (including duty free), a children's play area, wireless internet access, VIP lounges, bars and restaurants. Disabled facilities are good; those with special needs should contact their airline in advance.

George Best Belfast City Airport (BHD):www.belfastcityairport.com is located 5km (3 miles) from Belfast.

To/from the airport: Regular train (from Sydenham), bus and taxi services run to the city centre.

Facilities: Shops, ATMs, bureau de change, Wi-Fi, duty-free, cafes and bar.

Belfast International Airport (BFS):www.belfastairport.com is located 21km (13 miles) northwest of Belfast. 

To/from the airport: Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall. The bus stop is outside the terminal on the lower level. Airbus No. 300 operates between the airport and central Belfast. 

Facilities: ATMs and currency exchange, lost property office, business lounge, baby-changing facilities and Wi-Fi.

Birmingham International Airport (BHX)www.bhx.co.uk is located 10km (6 miles) southeast of Birmingham.

To / from the airport: The free Air Rail Link shuttles passengers to the Birmingham Station where passengers can catch a train to Birmingham City Centre as well as London and many other cities across the UK.Taxis can be found outside Terminal 2. All buses to and from Birmingham Airport stop between the terminals.

Facilities: Multi-faith prayer room to assistance for passengers with special needs as well as a travel agent, first-aid facilities and a baby and parent room.
