Bordeaux Airport (BOD):www.bordeaux.aeroport.fr is located 13km (8 miles) west of Bordeaux.

To / from the airport: There are regular bus services and trains that take passengers to the city centre. Taxis are available outside the airport.

Facilities: Banks/bureau de change, duty-free shops, restaurants, bars and car hire.

Brussels International Airport (BRU):www.brusselsairport.be is located 12km (7 miles) northeast of the city centre.

To / from the airport: The train station is located on the lower level (1st Floor). There is a train shuttle service from the airport to the North, South and Central stations of Brussels. There are also buses that serve Brussels, Antwerp and Eindhoven; the bus station is below the Arrivals hall. An airport bus link also operates between the Brussels-Luxembourg railway station and the airport. There are metered taxis available outside the Arrivals hall.

Facilities: Airport facilities include ATMs and bureau de change, a post office, duty-free shops, cafes/restaurants, a beauty shop, a Communications Centre with Internet access, religious services, train information and reservation, travel agency, and luggage lockers. There is also a mobile phone rental office and Wireless LAN hotspot service.

Newcastle Airport (NCL):www.newcastleairport.com is 10km (6 miles) northwest of the city centre.

To/from the airport: The Tyne and Wear Metro connects the Newcastle area with the airport. The nearest railway station is Newcastle Central linked by the Metro. Local bus services run. Taxis are available.

Facilities: Shops, bars, restaurants. Other facilities include a bank, bureau de change, ATMs, left luggage, baby care rooms, and a children's play area. There is a business facility in the main terminal equipped with fax, photocopier and Internet access.

Norwich International Airport (NWI):www.norwichairport.co.uk is 7km (4.5 miles) north of Norwich.

To/from the airport:First UK Bus (tel: (01603) 760 076) operate a service between Norwich city centre and the airport terminal. The X5 bus runs hourly.

Facilities: Bureau de change facilities and ATMs are available. There are two bars, a restaurant and a café in the main concourse and the departure lounge of the airport.

Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport (WAW): www.lotnisko-chopina.pl is located 10km (6 miles) southwest of Warsaw.

To/from the airport: Taxis are regularly available from the airport and the Intercity Polski Express bus company provides direct regular bus connections to 30 towns in Poland; tickets can be purchased from the driver.

Facilities: Duty-free shops, car rental, bank, bureau de change, lost luggage and restaurant/bar.

To/from the airport: Coaches and buses run to the city every 12 minutes from outside Orly Ouest. Taxis are available. RER B and C line trains run every 15 minutes via Saint-Michel.

Oslo Airport (OSL):www.osl.no is situated 50km (31 miles) northeast of Oslo.

To/from the airport: An Airport Express train and a variety of taxis go to the city centre. An airport bus travels between the Oslo Bus Terminal downtown and the airport, with night services connecting to every arrival.

Facilities: Banks, bureau de change, ATMs, a post office, left luggage, duty-free, tourist information and hotel reservation kiosk. Business facilities are available including fax and Internet access. There is a selection of bars, shops and restaurants. Disabled facilities are good; those with special needs should contact their airline in advance.

Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI):www.aena.es is located 8km (5 miles) east of Palma.

To/from the airport: Most tour operators organize transport to hotels. For those that don't, there are several buses that connect the airport to Palma and other major towns and resorts on the island. Buses leave from outside Arrivals. There are also several taxi companies operating from the airport.

Facilities: ATMs, a bank, bureau de change, shops, bars and restaurants, a post office and a children's play area. Disabled facilities are good; those with special needs should contact their airline in advance.

Tenerife South - Reina Sofia (TFS):www.aena.es The airport is located 60km (37.5 miles) from Santa Cruz.

To/from the airport: Most tour operators arrange transport from the airport. For those that don't, there are regular buses to Santa Cruz, Los Cristianos and other towns and resorts on the island. Taxis are also available.

Facilities: Restaurants, bars, shops, ATMs, a bank, post office, children's play area and currency exchange facilities. Disabled facilities are adequate; those with special needs are advised to contact their airline or travel agent in advance.

Rotterdam Airport (RTM):www.rotterdam-airport.nl, 8km (5 miles) northwest of Rotterdam and 25km (16 miles) southeast of The Hague.

To/from the airport: The RET airport shuttle bus runs to Rotterdam Central Station (15 minutes) from where you can take the train (around 25 minutes), bus or tram (50 minutes) to The Hague.

Facilities: Upscale self-service restaurant, an attractive grand café/restaurant, a currency exchange bureau, a duty-free shop, a couple of other shops, good conference and business facilities, executive lounge and international car rental operators.
