Jacksonville Intl

Jacksonville International Airport (JAX):www.jaa.aero is situated 24km (15 miles) north of Jacksonville.

To/from the airport: Taxis and Express Shuttle, a minibus service, takes passengers anywhere in Florida or Southeast Georgia

Facilities: ATMs, postal facilities, bars/coffee shops, restaurants, newsagents and gift shops, a bookshop, a leather shop and PGA golf shop. Massage and shoeshine facilities, a 24-hour florist, and a 24-hour chapel.

Miami Intl

Miami International Airport (MIA):www.miami-airport.com is located 14km (9 miles) northwest of Miami.

To/from the airport: A Metrobus service provides a connection to the Tri-Rail commuter train system while Miami-Dade Transit Department provides Metrobus services to all areas of Miami-Dade County. Taxis are available outside baggage reclaim.

Orlando Intl

Orlando International Airport (MCO):www.orlandoairports.net is located 10.5km (6.5 miles) southeast of Orlando.

To/from the airport: Public transport facilities are to be found on the Ground Transportation Concourse on Level 1 of Terminal 1. Lynx buses numbers 11, 41, 42 and 51 depart every 30 minutes, between 5.30am and 11.30pm, for downtown Orlando, the trip taking about 40 minutes and costing $1.50. Many hotels provide free shuttles for guests. Taxis are available on Level 1 on both the A and B sides of the Main Terminal, and may carry up to 9 passengers with metered rates.

Facilities: ATMs, currency exchange, information centres, Internet kiosks and postal services. There are a wide variety of bars, restaurants and shops, including duty free. The Kennedy Space Centre, Disney, Universal Studios and Sea World all have their own branded shops. Facilities for the disabled are good; those with special needs should contact their airline in advance.

Palm Beach Intl

Palm Beach International Airport (PBI):www.pbia.org The airport is located 4km (2.5 miles) west of West Palm Beach and 5.5km (3.5 miles) west of Palm Beach.

To/from the airport: TriRail provides transportation between West Palm Beach and Miami, with stops on route. Buses offer regular services throughout Palm Beach County and taxis are available from the transportation desks at each end of the terminal building on level 1.

Sarasota/Bradenton Intl

Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ):www.srq-airport.com is on the southwest Gulf Coast of Florida

To/from the airport: The airport is located at the intersection of SR41 and University Parkway on the Sarasota and Manatee County line. Main roadways to and from the airport include SR41, SR301, University Parkway and I-75 (exit 213).

Facilities: Banks, ATMs, restaurants, bars and a variety of shops. Luggage carts are available and baby changing facilities can be found in most ladies' rooms. A Senior Friendship Centre is located on the second floor of the terminal.

Southwest Florida Intl

Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW):www.flylcpa.com is located 16km (10 miles).

To/from the airport: Lee Tran provides public transportation between 6am and 10pm on an hourly basis to a transfer point, located at Daniels Parkway and US 41, where connections can be made to the remainder of the Lee Tran routes. Many hotels in the area offer a shuttle bus service to and from the airport. Taxis and limousines are available.

Facilities: ATMs, a currency exchange office and several cafes, restaurants and bars. The business centre on Level 2 offers fax and photocopy facilities, laptop connections and Internet access. Disabled facilities are good; those with special needs should contact their airline in advance.

Tampa Intl

Tampa International Airport (TPA):www.tampaairport.com is located 8km (5 miles) west of Tampa.

To/from the airport: Buses, taxis as well as a free shuttle to International Plaza, Tampa Bay’s newest mall.

Facilities: Bank, bureau de change, post boxes, stamp machines, ATMs, restaurants and duty-free shopping.
