Four airlines, and their subsidiaries, are served at Hector International. There has been an airport at the site since 1927, when Martin Hector leased land to the city for $1 a year. The modern-day terminal was opened in 1986. Eight destinations are available from FAR: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando/Sanford, Phoenix/Mesa, Salt Lake City, Denver, Chicago O’Hare and Minneapolis/St Paul.

Getting into Town

Road: Taxi: Doyle's Yellow Checker Cab (tel: +1 (701) 235 5535) and Lucky 7 Taxi (tel: +1 (701) 235 1717) provide taxi services from the airport.

Car Parking

Parking lots are located directly across from the terminal. There is short- and long-term parking at the airport. There are parking spaces for more than 1,500 vehicles. For more parking information, call +1 (701) 241 1591.

Information Desks

The Airport Information Center can be reached on +1 (701) 241 8168. Staff there can page travellers if required.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: There is one ATM located in the lower terminal. Wi-Fi access is available throughout the terminal and concourse. A wireless card is required to use the service.

Eating and drinking: There are places to eat and have a drink at the airport.

Shopping: Travellers can shop in the airport gift shop, which features North Dakota-made products.

Luggage: For inquiries regarding items left in the passenger terminal, contact the Airport Administration Office (tel: +1 (701) 241 1501) located on the second floor next to the gift shop.

Other facilities: There is a games room located on the main level.

Holiday Inn Fargo (tel: +1 (701) 282 2700), Fargo Days Inn and Suites 19th Avenue (tel: +1 (701) 232 0000), Country Inn & Suites by Carlson (tel: +1 (701) 234 0565), Mainstay Suites (tel: +1 (701) 277 4627) and Radisson Hotel Fargo (tel: +1 (701) 232 7363) all offer shuttle services to the airport.

Airport Disabled Facilities

There is a lift available to access the second floor areas. The airlines are available to provide wheelchair assistance. Special parking spaces for disabled travellers are available in the parking lot for those displaying valid permits. There are also loading areas for disabled travellers adjacent to the front doors of the passenger terminal.

Airport Conference and Business Facilities

There are three business centres located throughout the terminal. They have comfortable sit-down work areas and free T-1 and Wi-Fi and 120V power connections.
