Close to Mykonos, the main port town on the beautiful island of Mykonos in the South Aegean, Mykonos National Airport is the main entry point to this popular Greek tourist destination.
Mykonos Town is the most cosmopolitan town in the Greek islands, with streets lined with cafes, boutiques and galleries. Although very crowded in peak season (especially July and August) the town retains its beautiful architecture, with whitewashed steps and colourful seaside cottages. Take a stroll through the many museums or stop in at one of the trendy beachfront cocktail bars and watch the sunset over the ocean.
The island is tiny – only about 15km long and 10km at its widest point. You can get around by bus, taxi, car, scooter or boat. During off season the airport all but shuts down, with just two airlines operating daily flights to Mykonos National Airport from Athens.

Train: There are no trains on the island.
Shuttle: It's worth asking your hotel about a shuttle service – many do.
Bus: There is a bus service into town, although it only operates from the airport during the tourist season. At the height of summer it runs from the airport at 12:30pm and again at about 2pm, although the times vary. There are two bus stations in town, about a 20-minute walk from each other. Buses go around Mykonos Town and to other towns on the island. A ticket will cost €1-€2, depending on where you go, and are available at kiosks and in shops.
Taxi: From the airport, a taxi is probably your best bet. They leave from just in front of the terminal and will get you into town in ten minutes or so for €5-€10 . There are only a few taxis on the entire island, so at peak times, such as summer evenings, you might need to be patient.

Money and communications: The Commercial Bank of Greece has an ATM in the terminal, but you'll have to head into town to exchange currency.
Luggage: The information desk in the terminal doubles as a lost-and-found desk. There is no left-luggage facility at the airport.
Conference and business: There are no conference and business facilities at the airport, but several hotels nearby have these facilities for hire.
Other facilities: A baby-changing room.
Wi-Fi: There is no Wi-Fi coverage at Mykonos Airport.
