Opened in 1937, Nashville International Airport in Tennessee served almost ten million passengers in 2008. The four-runway airport is served by 16 airlines operating about 400 daily flights to 89 markets and 49 non-stop markets. Southwest, the world's third-largest airline, has a big operation at Nashville.

Getting into Town

Road: Taxi: Taxis leave from just outside the passenger terminal. Bus: Buses, limousines and hotel/motel shuttles can be found on the ground transportation level, outside the terminal. The Downtown Airport Express Shuttle plies a route between the airport and downtown Nashville, with pick-up outside the baggage reclaim area. Bus route information is available at the customer service booth.

Car Parking

Short-term, long-term and economy parking is available; the short-term car park is located directly in front of the terminal. There is a courtesy shuttle service to/from long-term and economy parking.

Information Desks

The Airport Welcome Center (tel: +1 615 275 1674/75) is located on the baggage reclaim level of the passenger terminal. Beige courtesy telephones located throughout the terminal can be used to contact the centre for information and assistance.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: ATMs, bureau de change and bank facilities are all available.

Eating and drinking: There are speciality restaurants, snack bars, cafés, coffee shops, an ice cream bar, fine dining room and grill room.

Shopping: There are gift shops, a PGA tour shop and newsagents.

Luggage: Trolleys are available 24 hours from locations throughout the terminal, for a fee.

Other facilities: There is a children’s play area and a meditation room.

Airport Hotels

Nearby hotels include the Nashville Airport Marriott (tel: +1 615 889 9300), Residence Inn Nashville Airport (tel: +1 615 889 8600), Hampton Inn and Suites (tel: +1 615 885 4242), Holiday Inn Express (tel: +1 615 883 1366) and the Wyndham Nashville Airport (tel: +1 615 889 9090), all a five-minute drive from the airport, as well as the Sheraton Music City (tel: +1 615 885 2200), which is a ten-minute drive. Hotel/motel call boards with courtesy telephones are located on the baggage reclaim level.

Airport Disabled Facilities

The airport is physically accessible to disabled passengers, with lifts connecting all floors. Travellers should notify their airline in advance if they require assistance to/from the aircraft. TDD phones are available throughout the airport. Disabled parking spaces area available on the front rows of each section of lots in the short-term car par; courtesy shuttles from the long-term and economy car parks are equipped with wheelchair lifts.

Airport Conference and Business Facilities

The Wright Travel Business Center (tel: +1 615 275 2660) is located on the ticketing level of the passenger terminal near concourses C-D; facilities include fax, photocopier, notary service, bureau de change and travel agency services. Parcel delivery services are available across from the Airport Welcome Center on the baggage reclaim level.
