Getting into Town

Rail: SEPTA’s R1 high speed rail line provides a service between each terminal and central Philadelphia. SEPTA (tel: +1 215 580 7800 or TDD: +1 215 580 7712) also provides transport to Amtrak’s 30th Street Station and the Greyhound Bus Terminal.

Road: Taxi: Taxis are available 24 hours; there is also a shuttle van/limousine service. Information on ground transportation is available in the baggage reclaim areas (tel: +1 215 937 6958).

Car Parking

Hourly, daily and long-term garage parking is available in car parks in front of all terminals; short-term parking is available on the ground level. Economy parking is available at the far east end of the airport, which is serviced by a free 24-hour shuttle service. Information Desks

General 24-hour information and language assistance is available from the Airport Communications Center (tel: +1 215 937 6937 or TDD: +1 215 937 6755), by using any of the white telephones located throughout the airport or by speaking to a receptionist at the passenger assistance counter in the Terminal A baggage claim area. Information counters are also all located in all terminals.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: ATMs, bureaux de change and self-service postal centres are all available at the airport. Data ports are located in every terminal; the Euro Cyber Café in Terminal D offers internet kiosks.

Eating and drinking: There are many restaurants and cafés situated throughout the airport.

Shopping: Duty-free shopping is available in Terminal A-East and A-West.

Luggage: A lost property service is available (tel: +1 215 937 6888).

Other facilities: These include a hospital, AED units (defibrillators), a hospitality service for passengers stranded during emergencies and baby-change facilities.

Nearby hotels include the Hilton (tel: +1 215 365 4150), Comfort Inn (tel: +1 610 521 9800), Embassy Suites (tel: +1 215 365 4500), Econo Lodge (tel: +1 610 521 3900), Hampton Inn (tel: +1 215 966 1300), Holiday Inn (tel: +1 610 521 2400), Philadelphia Airport Courtyard (tel: +1 215 365 2200), Ramada Inn (tel: +1 610 521 9600), Renaissance Hotel (tel: +1 610 521 5900) and the Sheraton Four Points (tel: +1 215 492 0400); many provide a free shuttle service.

Airport Disabled Facilities

These include lifts, elevators, accessible toilets, amplified and TDD telephones, Braille signs and raised numbering on lifts and ATMs. The airport produces a special information leaflet, Getting Around, which can be sent to disabled travellers (tel: +1 215 937 5433). Disabled parking is available and all shuttle buses have wheelchair lifts. Hand-controlled vehicles can be hired from Avis, Dollar, Hertz and National. Passengers requiring wheelchairs should contact the Airport Operator (tel: +1 215 937 6700) and inform their airlines prior to travel.

Airport Conference and Business Facilities

The Laptop Lane business centre (tel: +1 215 937 4360) has computers, internet access and other business services, while the US Airways Business Centre (tel: +1 610 362 4333) offers photocopying, PC and laser printing, fax and document shredding facilities, as well as meeting and conference rooms for up to ten people.

From Philadelphia city centre, take Interstate 95 (I-95) south to the airport exit.
