Trademarked as "America's Friendliest Airport" Phoenix Sky Harbor was the eighth-busiest in the US in 2007. More than 40 million travellers passed through it that year. The three-terminal airport is served by 23 airlines, providing nonstop service to more than 100 cities in the US as well as destinations in Canada, Mexico and Europe. The two largest airlines are US Airways and Southwest.

Road: Taxi: Taxis and limousines are available. SuperShuttle operates daily 24 hours, offering a door-to-door van service to all destinations in the Valley daily 24 hours. Bus: Phoenix Transit (tel: +1 602 253 5000) run Red Line and no.13 wheelchair-accessible buses to central Phoenix and surrounding areas. Money and communications: Facilities include ATMs and telephones in all three terminals and a bureau de change in Terminal 4.
Eating and drinking: There are restaurants, bars and cafés in Terminals 2, 3 and 4.
Shopping: There are many shops in all three terminals, as well as duty-free shopping in Terminal 4.
Luggage: A lost property office is situated between Terminals 2 and 3 (tel: +1 602 273 3307).
Other facilities: These include a pet rest area, a barber, art galleries and an interfaith chapel.

There are no on-site airports. Many hotels offer free shuttle transportation from the airport; a courtesy telephone centre is located next to the Arrivals areas in all terminals.

Facilities include level access and lifts, wheelchair-accessible telephones, toilets and ATMs, as well as TDD and amplified phones. Hand-controlled hire cars can be provided with advance notice by Avis and Hertz. Disabled parking spaces are reserved for badge holders in all car parks; the shuttles are wheelchair-accessible. The airport has business centres in Terminals 2 and 4; these provide computer points, fax and photocopying services. There are no meeting rooms or secretarial services at the airport. The nearby Hilton Phoenix Airport (tel: +1 480 894 1600) has a 24-hour business centre, wireless Internet access and meeting rooms, including a ballroom, which can accommodate 500 delegates.
