Airports in Russia

Moscow Domodedovo (DME):www.domodedovo.ru is 34km (21 miles) southeast of Moscow.

To/from the airport: An Aeroexpress train goes from Moscow's Paveletsky Station to the airport (journey time - 40 to 50 minutes). Express buses and a 24-hour shuttle service are also available. Two official taxi firms operate at the airport.

Facilities: Duty-free, shops and restaurants.

Irkutsk Airport (IKT):iktport.ru (Russian only). The airport is situated 8km (5 miles) from the city centre. Irkutsk is in south eastern Siberia, 60km (37 miles) east of Lake Baikal in the Russian Federation.

To/from the airport: Buses and shuttles between the airport and the city centre are frequent and cheap. The journey takes about half an hour. Taxis are also available.

Facilities: Post office, bank, bureau de change, telephones, Internet cafe, restaurants, cafes, bars, shops including newsagents and duty-free, first aid and a baby and parent room. Left-luggage is available.

Ekaterinburg Airport (SVX):www.koltsovo.ru is located near Ekaterinburg, in the lowest part of the Ural mountains.

To/from the airport: Koltsovo Railway Station is 2km (1.25 mile) away from the airport. Bus no.1 links Koltsovo Railway Station, Koltsovo Airport and Ekaterinburg Central Railway Station. There is a taxi service to the city centre and to neighbouring cities.

Pulkovo Airport (St Petersburg) (LED):www.pulkovoairport.ru is 17km (10 miles) south of the city.

To/from the airport: Buses are available to the city centre frequently throughout the day. Taxis are also available.

Facilities: Banks/bureau de change, flight information, duty-free shops, restaurant, bar, snack bar, left luggage and first aid.

Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO):www.sheremetyevo-airport.ru 29km (18 miles) northwest of Moscow.

To/from the airport: Train, regular express buses and 24-hour taxi service offer transportation from the airport.

Facilities: bank and bureau de change, post office, shops, bar/restaurant, left-luggage, hairdresser, pharmacy and medical centre.

Vladivostok Airport (VVO):www.vladivostokavia.ru, 44km (27 miles) north of Vladivostok.

To/from the airport: Buses link the airport and the city centre, but they can be infrequent. Taxis are available.

Facilities: Banks/bureau de change, duty-free shops, restaurant, bar, luggage storage facilities, first aid post and baby care room.
