Sacramento International Airport is a gateway to Northern California, major cities across the US, and international destinations. The two-terminal airport has 14 major carriers (including Delta, United and JetBlue) and one commuter airline. There are more than 150 scheduled departures per day. More than ten million passengers use the airport annually.

Taxi: Taxis are available. Limousine: City Lights Limousine (tel: +1 916 786 9292) can take between one and six people to all areas of Sacramento for a flat rate. SuperShuttle provides an on-call service to Sacramento and other counties. Vans can be reserved for travel to outlying areas (see the airport’s website for details). Bus: Yolobus (tel: +1 530 666 2877) provides a public bus service on the intercity bus route no.42 to central Sacramento, Davis and Woodland.

There are five car parks with spaces for over 12,000 cars at the airport, including hourly and daily car parks for Terminals A and B and economy parking. The first half-hour of hourly parking is free. Further airport parking information is available (tel: +1 916 874 0670).

Money and communications: ATMs are located throughout the airport. There is a full-service post office on Lindbergh Drive, outside the terminal complex.
Eating and drinking: Eating facilities include a pizza restaurant, a bar, fast-food outlets, coffee shops, a Chinese restaurant, a delicatessen and a bakery. There is a food court situated between Terminal B1 and B2.
Shopping: Shops at the airport include a sunglasses shop, a travel goods shop, a bookshop, a newsagent and gift shops.

Other facilities: An emergency-only medical service is available by dialling 911 on the white courtesy telephones. There are children’s play areas in Terminal A.

The Host International Hotel (tel: +1 916 922 8071; website: www.hostairporthotel.com/) is the only airport hotel on site. The Homestead Studio Suites Hotel - Sacramento (tel: +1 916 564 7500), Residence Inn South Natomas (tel: +1 916 649 1300) and Hilton Garden Inn (tel: +1 916 568 5400) are all a short drive from the airport. Courtesy shuttles run to many local hotels; information and reservations are available at the courtesy telephone centres in the baggage reclaim areas of each terminal.

The airport is fully accessible to disabled travellers. For wheelchair assistance, contact the airline or dial 00 on a white courtesy phone. Skycap porters can provide wheelchair assistance free of charge. There are several TDD phones located throughout the airport. Designated car parking spaces are available for disabled travellers (tel: +1 916 874 0681). All airport shuttle buses are lift-equipped. Lift-equipped transportation to/from the airport is available. Avis, Budget, Hertz and National offer vehicles for travellers with disabilities (vehicles must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance).
