Sheremetyevo International is a two-terminal airport serving Moscow. Along with Domodedovo International, it is one of the Russian capital’s leading airports. Approximately 12 million passengers use the airport each year. In recent years, it has seen stiff competition from Domodedovo and has made efforts to improve its passengers’ travel experiences.

Rail: A line links Moscow Savyolovsky Station with Lobnya Station, from where shuttles offer a transfer to the airport (journey time - 20 minutes). A rapid transit system linking the airport to Moscow is planned for late 2007. The train will connect to Leningrad Station (Leningradski Vokzal), which is the departure point for most trains to St Petersburg.
Road: Taxi: Taxis to Moscow are available 24 hours a day from the Arrivals level of Terminal 2 and from outside Terminal 1; passengers should join the taxi queue for fixed-rate taxis rather than accepting offers. Bus: Regular express buses run 24 hours a day to Moscow from bus stops outside Terminal 1 and a bus station on the Arrivals level of Terminal 2. Local bus no.551 goes to metro Rechnoi Vokzal and bus no.517 goes to metro Planernaya. Coach: Coaches run between the airport and Moscow Central Air Terminal, which is located between Dinamo and Aeroport metro stations.
Short-term parking facilities are available close to both terminals.
Information desks are located in the main halls. The two terminals have separate telephone numbers for information (tel: +7 495 232 6565 for Terminal 1 or +7 495 956 4666 for Terminal 2). Intourist representatives are available in Terminal 2 and can provide tourist information (tel: +7 495 578 5971).
Money and communications: The airport has banking and bureaux de change, and ATMs are available in Terminal 2 in both the Arrivals and Departures areas. Aerosot provides fax services, international telephones and photocopying. There are post offices in both terminals.
Eating and drinking: There are restaurants and bars in both terminals.
Shopping: Shops are available in both terminals and include duty-free in both Departures and Arrivals.
Luggage: Trolleys are available for hire in the Arrivals hall of Terminal 2. A porter service is available. Left-luggage counters are located in Terminal 2.
Other facilities: The airport has a hairdresser, pharmacy and a medical office. There are travel agencies in both terminals.
There are three hotels at Terminal 2: the Novotel Sheremetyevo-2 (tel: +7 495 926 5900/4), which offers a free shuttle transfer from Terminal 1; the Sheremetyevo-2 Hotel (tel: +7 495 578 5753); and the Aeroflot Transit Hotel (tel: +7 495 578 5761). A hotel reservations desk is also available at the airport. Other hotels near the airport include the Holiday Inn Vinogradovo (tel: +7 495 937 0670) and the Best Western ART Hotel (tel: +7 495 725 0905).
The airport does not offer many facilities for the disabled traveller, although wheelchair transfer from the aircraft to the terminal building can be arranged in advance; passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.
The airport has a business centre in Terminal 2 (tel: +7 495 578 7252), which can provide telephone, fax and conference facilities. The Novotel Sheremetyevo-2 (tel: +7 495 926 5900/4) has four conference/meeting rooms accommodating up to 100 delegates; all are equipped with audiovisual facilities.
