Tampa International is home to 20 airlines, which provide daily national and international service. The airport looked after more than 18 million flyers in 2007. Tampa International's architectural design and flyer-friendliness has won awards. In 2007, Zagat, the restaurant-rating company, rated Tampa as the top US airport.

Taxi: Taxis are available from Yellow Cab (tel: +1 813 253 0121) and United Cab (tel: +1 813 253 2424); there is a desk at each end of Arrivals for limousine and shared-ride shuttle services. Bus: Sarasota-Tampa Express runs a direct service to Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport; the bus stops are in the Blue Quadrant 1 and Red Quadrant 2. HARTline Route no.30 runs to destinations including central Tampa; the bus stop is located at Red baggage reclaim. Further ground transportation information is available (tel: +1 813 870 8718). There is a free shuttle from the airport level 1 to International Plaza, Tampa Bay’s newest mall.

There is a short-term parking garage for stays of four hours or less, with direct access to the terminal via lifts. The long-term car park provides a monorail service for access to the terminal and is also connected to the terminal via pedestrian bridges. There is a remote economy car park located behind the airport post office and connected to the terminal by a free shuttle service. Look for the signs to this remote car park when driving into the airport. Valet parking is also available. Parking information is available (tel: +1 813 870 8790), but no advance reservations can be made.

Money and communications: On transfer level 3 there is a bank, bureau de change, post boxes, stamp machines and ATMs. Telephones with data ports and individual data ports are also available throughout the terminal. There is a post office located near the remote economy car park.
Eating and drinking: There are several restaurants and cafés throughout the airport.
Shopping: There are many shops at the airport, including duty-free.
Luggage: There are no lockers at the airport. Trolleys are available throughout the terminal and car parks for a fee.
Other facilities: These include a first aid room, a chapel and baby change facilities.

The La Quinta Inn Tampa Airport (tel: +1 813 287 0440), AmeriSuites - Tampa Airport (tel: +1 813 282 1037), Tampa Marriott Westshore (tel: +1 813 287 2555) and Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore (tel: +1 813 877 6688) are all within 1.5 miles (2.5km) of the airport.

Facilities include TTY/TDD telephones for hearing-impaired travellers. Disabled parking spaces are provided on all levels of the short-term and long-term garages. Disabled toilets are also available and the terminal is equipped with lifts and ramps.
