Houston’s second-largest airport (after George Bush Intercontinental), William P. Hobby Airport looks after almost nine million passengers annually. Hobby’s five scheduled airlines provide non-stop service to more than 30 destinations within the US and it is one of Southwest Airlines' most important focus cities.

Road: Taxi: Taxis leave from Curbzone 1 outside baggage reclaim, on the lower level. Bus: The METRO bus service leaves from Curbzone 8A, outside baggage reclaim, on the lower level, for services into Houston. Shuttle services are provided by Express Shuttle USA (tel: +1 713 523 8888) and Texans Super Shuttle (tel: +1 713 781 6660) to various locations throughout the Houston area.

Money and communications: Facilities include ATMs and bureaux de change.
Eating and drinking: There are over a dozen eateries at the airport, including a Mexican restaurant, ice cream parlour, fast-food and coffee shops.
Shopping: Shops are located in the central lobby upper level of the terminal, as well as in the central concourse and concourses A and C; shops include newsagents and gift shops.
Luggage: Trolleys are available for hire in the baggage reclaim area.

There is no hotel on the airport site. Nearby hotels include the Courtyard Marriott (tel: +1 713 910 1700), Hobby Hilton (tel: +1 713 645 3000) and Motel Six - Houston Hobby (tel: +1 713 941 0990). A list of hotels in the area and their telephone numbers is available on the airport’s website. Many of the hotels operate courtesy shuttle services to/from the airport. Passengers can also use courtesy hotel telephones located in the baggage reclaim area to arrange pick-up.

There is disabled access in all areas of the terminal. Visually-or hearing-impaired passengers can request information and assistance (tel: +1 713 640 3000 or TDD tel: +1 713 641 7781). The black airport telephones located throughout the terminal are for paging assistance.

The airport offers a wheelchair-accessible meeting room on Concourse C which can be booked through a SSR (see above). Bureaux de change can provide fax and photocopying facilities.
