Grindelwald is a chocolate-box pretty village in the Jungfrau region of Switzerland. It sits at the foot of the Eiger, the starting point for ascents of the mountain and the Wetterhorn. Popular year round, in winter it's known for its skiing and in summer it becomes a flower-strewn hiking and walking holiday spot.
Skiers of all abilities are catered for. Beginners can cut their teeth here, intermediate skiers perfect their skill and the most experienced can take on the Eiger glacier. There are lift links to Wengen and Murren too, all of which make Grindelwald one of the best resorts for further exploration of the Jungfrau region.
