The resort of Hastings in Barbados is immediately east of Bridgetown the capital, just past the Garrison area of the town. It was one of the first tourist resorts in the 18th century and you can still feel some of the faded glory in the large hotels facing the beach. White sand, palm trees, comparative peace – just the ingredients for a perfect holiday and the reason many sun-lovers book flights to Hastings. It's location is very central - just ten minutes by taxi to Bridgetown for shopping and ten minutes the other way to St Lawrence Gap for the night life.
