The small town of Kardamena, situated on the south coast of the Greek island of Kos, is one of the most popular resorts with British tourists. With the international airport just five miles away (a ten-minute transfer), holidaymakers arrive from Kardamena flights throughout the summer season to enjoy the town's excellent beach and the lively nightlife. Peak Season:
The most popular months to visit Kardamena are April to September, and the busiest months are July and August. The summer weather continues all the way into November when a midday swim is still possible.
Accommodation is the most expensive from July to September. Visit at the beginning or end of the peak season for milder temperatures, less wind from the meltemi, and more opportunity to enjoy the Greek culture.
Off Season:
From October onwards the tourist season winds down. This can be the time to find cheap flights to Kardamena and good deals on hotels, but be aware that some of the restaurants and bars may be closed out of the tourist season.
