Lithuania has no civil unrest, but there is plenty of car theft to worry about. Pickpockets, muggers and purse-snatchers are known to operate on public transport. Be aware of your surroundings and don’t carry any valuables or important documents. Be careful if driving, especially at night, as traffic accidents are common.
