Between Cala Millor and S'Illot on the eastern side of Mallorca lies Sa Coma. A purpose-built resort, not far from Palma at which flights to Sa Coma land, it is perfect for families with small children. The pavements are good and suitable for buggies and most hotels and shops have ramps. The long "Blue-Flag" beach too is made for buckets and spades and little feet - the sand is white and soft. There are lifeguards on duty and there is a range of sun beds and parasols for hire.
Nightlife is sedate in comparison to Magaluf and Palma Nova. Strolling along the promenade or into nearby resorts is a pleasant way to end the day. There is a good assortment of British-style pubs too including the Britannia Pub and The Kings Head.
Close to Sa Coma, a 20-minute drive away, are the Caves of Arta. A pleasant 17 degrees inside, there are fantastic rock formations. A tour takes about an hour.
The safari park can be driven through or you can catch a ride on the tractor and spot monkeys, antelopes and zebras.
