St Anton, in the Austrian Tyrol, is one of the most popular ski resorts in Europe. Host of the Alpine World Skiing Championships in 2001, St Anton offers world-class facilities and excellent skiing, combined with the best snow record of the country. This is a resort primarily for intermediate and experienced skiers, with plenty of long winding red and black runs and truly amazing off-piste. It is a sprawling resort with a very large ski area that combines St Anton, Lech and St Christoph. Skiing the length of the accessible pistes would test the stamina of even the most experienced skiers. But winter enthusiasts don’t just book flights to St Anton for the skiing. The resort is a lively one, with plenty of après-ski activities on offer. Bars, restaurants and nightclubs abound here – there are more than 60 different places to eat.
The resort is easily accessible, with St Anton flights arriving in Innsbruck or Friedrichshafen in Germany.

Innsbruck Airport is just over 100km away. The journey by coach from the airport takes about 90 minutes. The Arlberg Express train also runs to the centre of St Anton from the airport and costs approximately €38.
