Peak season for flights to Gaziantep, and indeed Turkey in general, is the spring. In this season, the weather is at its most temperate, the countryside is stunning, and the days are long and dry at around 14 – 25 degrees Celsius. Airfares during this peak season tend to be more expensive, especially if your visit coincides with school holidays. However, make sure to always keep your eyes peeled for cheap deals in this period, as there are often cut price packages or last minute discounts that will enable you to visit Gaziantep during the most desirable season for less. However, if you prefer to travel outside of the peak season to avoid the crowds, consider travelling during late autumn or winter when you will also be able to benefit from a long run of cheap flights to Gaziantep. Visit during Eid to enjoy the festivities, however be warned, this may affect your travel plans as the event is a 4-5 day public holiday throughout Turkey.

There could be some more English shows for entertainment. My friend had done an online check-in and booked seats together. They were also given a boarding pass with seats together but when they boarded the airlines changed the seat of one person without giving any reason. The couple had to seat separately. This is not good.

One of the main reasons travellers come to Gaziantep is to visit the most famous attractions in the city, the Gaziantep Zeugma Mosaic Museum. This is a paradise for all lovers of ancient culture and history and a great place to learn more about the fascinating civilizations that occupied this region in the past. Another delightful blast from the past can be found at the Gaziantep Oyuncak Muzesi, a museum of toys and childhood which has a particularly good collection of quirky and interesting vintage toys from the 1920s. Seekers of romance, drama, and natural beauty should definitely pay a visit to the majestic castle of Rum Kale, which overlooks the beautiful turquoise river running through the city. The Emine Gogus Culinary Museum and the Omeriye Mosque are two other great attractions that are well worth a visit. The latter is the oldest mosque in the city, and is a beautiful and peaceful place to spend an hour or two.
The city has taxis, a good network of buses, and hire cars, all of which you can use to reach the areas that are of interest to you. If you are travelling to the Rum Kale region, then a great way to do this is to take the (inexpensive) boat ride right up to the castle. This is one of the most picturesque ways to travel in the city! There are a few dedicated tour guide companies, in addition to this, that will take you to the main attractions and give you a guided tour on arrival.
Gaziantep O?uzeli International Airport (GZT) is situated 12 miles (20 km) from the city centre. If you are flying in to Istanbul first, you can get regular direct flights to Gaziantep: these last just an hour and 40 minutes and are quicker (and, often, surprisingly much cheaper) than taking the bus. Once you arrive at the airport, a taxi, shuttle bus, or hire car will get you to your hotel in around half an hour. It is a good idea to check with your hotel beforehand to see if they offer a shuttle service coinciding with your flight arrival time.
