The best way to explore the centre of New Haven is on foot. However to see some of the attractions in the outlying areas, you will need to hop on a bus or hire a car. Union Station is the main railway station that connects New Haven to other nearby cities, such as New York City and Boston. Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN) is situated to the southeast of New Haven at a distance of 4.5 miles (7.2 km). The airport provides a full provision of transport options to reach the city. Bus services also provide transportation from the airport to New Haven.
