Smugmug have launched the fifth film in the SmugMug Films series profiling Chris Burkard, a self-taught photographer and artist, based in Central Coast California, whose work is layered by surf, outdoor, lifestyle and travel subjects.
The Film is titled Arctic Swell – Surfing the Ends of the Earth and much of the footage was captured in Norway.
Chris follows professional surfers Patrick Millen, Brett Barley, and Chadd Konig as they brave sub-zero temperatures and brutal Arctic seas to capture moments of raw beauty, adventure, and community.
