Berlin-Schonefeld International Airport (SXF): www.berlin-airport.de is located in the southeast of the city.

To/from the airport: The Airport Express Train is the fastest train from the airport into the city. It runs every 30 minutes, from 5am until 11pm. S-bahn trains are also available from the airport station, but they are slightly slower than the express train. If you are taking a bus, there are two zones (A and B) between Schonefeld and central Berlin. Tickets cost about €6. Taxis are available 24 hours a day.

Facilities: Restaurant, bars, florist, bank/bureau de change, ATMs, newsagents, duty-free shop and first-aid facilities. Services available 24 hours a day include left-luggage, snack bar, and hotel reservations. There are hotels located near the airport and car rental is available.

Tegel

Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL): www.berlin-airport.de is located 8km (5 miles) north west of the centre of Berlin.

To / from the airport: The most convenient and cost effective way to get to and from the airport is by bus. They connect with the subway and above-ground train stations. Taxis are readily available outside the airport terminal, they take around 20 minutes to the city centre.

Facilities: Banks, bureau de change, ATMs, a post office, business centres and baby rooms. There are several shops, including duty-free, and a selection of restaurants. Disabled facilities are good; travellers with special needs should contact their airline in advance.
