For England, another international football tournament is over. After crashing out unceremoniously to Italy on penalties, we’ve failed once again to make it past the quarter finals.

The knockout stages of any tournament are brutal. For the winners, it’s glory-drenched progression to the next stage, but for the losers it’s the next flight home.

Unfortunately, it was the latter for England last night as they struggled through 120 minutes of goalless football and then failed to match Italy from the penalty spot.

The team are currently packing their bags to make the journey back home, when surely the first thing on their mind will be a well-earned holiday.

We’re sure the WAGs have already got the flights to their favourite holiday hotspot booked. So what are the best WAG-worthy destinations?

Monaco

Any WAG worth her salt will rank the luxurious city state of Monaco as a top holiday destination. With the high-class lifestyle, the gorgeous weather and beautiful surrounding area, Monaco is a jewel in Europe’s crown.

Given Monaco’s lack of income tax, the principality attracts many of the world’s wealthiest people – from businessmen to F1 drivers. So any WAG will feel right at home among the rich (and often famous) locals.

Dubai

It may not have quite the same long-standing reputation as Monaco, but Dubai has seen its popularity boom in recent years.

With scorching temperatures as well as luxury hotels, resorts and general infrastructure, Dubai is becoming the holiday of choice for a number of WAGs, including Abbey Clancy and Georgina Dorsett.

Marbella

While not quite as luxurious as the likes of Dubai and Monaco, Marbella is the destination of choice for a new generation of WAGs.

Essex beauties Amy Childs and Sam Faiers have shown us that the WAG lifestyle is accessible to almost anyone, and that you don’t need to stay in a tax haven or oil-rich nation to have a WAG-worthy holiday.
