Warwick Castle, said to be the finest kept medieval castle in the world, has launched a new glampsite for this summer.

The shady glade by the River Avon houses 35 bell tents with views of the 1,000-year-old castle. Pitched between July 20 and September 1, the tents cost from £150 per night for a family of four.

Also thrown in is a two-day family ticket for entrance to Warwick Castle (worth £73), breakfast (Continental or cooked); two-day car parking (worth £12); and evening medieval entertainment such as Have-a-go Archery, Knights’ School, Jesters’ School and Woodland Wildlife Nature Trail are included.
