Easter may be fast approaching, but for many of us there is only one thing on our mind… that well-earned summer holiday. It’s like airberlin can read our mind, as the German carrier is celebrating Easter with a flash-sale for flights during the summer.

Starting on 4 April, airberlin is holding a six-day sale on selected flights between London and Germany over the summer months. Customers can take advantage of low-cost flights, with prices starting from £52 per person for a one-way ticket. The travel period for the cheap flights is between 1 May and 31 July. With the sale only running until 9 April, you’ll need to act fast. You can book flights with airberlin over the phone or via airberlin.com.

While it may not be quite as popular as the likes Spain for a summer holiday, there is still plenty to be seen in Germany. So where should you head off to?

Berlin

As the capital of Germany, Berlin has built a reputation for itself as one of the ‘must-visit’ culture capitals of Europe.

Known for its laid back and arty feel, the city also offers a vast amount of cultural and historical architecture to soak up.

Black Forest

The vast Black Forest is known throughout the world, and is well worth a visit. Situated in the South West of Germany, the wooded mountain range is 200km long and 60km wide.

There is all sorts to do in the Black Forest, from visiting picturesque villages to trying out the challenging mountain biking trails.

Neuschwanstein Castle

Located in South West Bavaria, a province of Germany, Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the most recognisable castles in the world.

Disney based its Sleeping Beauty castle design on Neuschwanstein, and it sees more than one million tourists visit it each year.
