Guide to the Cheapflights site - How to find your way to
the best deals with cheapflights.co.uk
Cheapflights.co.uk doesn’t sell tickets, we advertise the
best deals from more than 700 companies (more than one million deals in total)
from the biggest carriers to the smallest regional and charter operations so
you can compare prices and find the cheapest fare. As we are not a part of any
large airline group or travel company, we can list offers independently and
impartially. Our website is a neutral space that allows users to compare prices
and find the flight that suits them. There are several ways to find the perfect
flight:
When you know where you want to go…
The home page
has links to the most popular destinations in Europe (Alicante to Venice) and worldwide (Auckland to Vancouver). Click on any of the links and, quick as a
flash, you will be taken to a departure page which will list the airport
nearest you. From there, select your departure point and browse the prices
displayed by the different advertisers, which include scheduled flights,
charter flights and low-cost airlines.
Think inside the box
Fill in your preferred departure airport and destination in
the search boxes to find the best deals. If you are not sure of your nearest
airport or would like to shop around, click on "List all departures"
for a list of all airports in the UK and Ireland. If you would like to check
all destinations in a particular country, click on "List all
destinations".
A, B, C, D…
Click on the first letter of your destination on the A-Z
toolbar at the top of each page. You will then need to select your preferred
departure point from a menu that appears on the next page.
Use the tabs to compare
Once you are on a departure page (offers from Heathrow to Alicante or Dublin to New York), see how much a flight will cost during different times
throughout the year. Cheapflights has organised all the deals into
"cheapest" (the default) and peak seasons (early, mid and late summer
as well as Christmas and Easter). Business-Class fares are also listed.
Use the booking engine
Search
by date with an online booking engine in association with third party
travel companies, including British Airways, TravelRepublic, expedia.co.uk, skybargains.co.uk,
flyMonarch.com and Flythomascook. Enter your requirements for flights by
departure date and ticket type and choose one of the travel company search
engines on the right to run your search. Select the fare that catches your eye
and book online (or telephone during office hours). Remember that online
booking engines have very good fares but are unlikely to always have the
cheapest ones. Each search engine has different strengths so you will do best
to compare the prices given by all before making a purchase.
We search for you – Today’s Deals
Each morning Cheapflights fishes around and presents its
best deals of the day. Today’s
Deals is a daily catch of the best flight and holiday offers from the super
low-costers to the biggest cruise liners.

Do your research before you go
We have found the best travel sites on the web and linked
to them to help you plan your trip. You can find our hand-crafted useful links
on each destination page, so you can plan things to do when you get there (Alicante for example). In useful links
and information you can arrange everything you need to do before you fly. We
even have a checklist
that you can print off and tick off so you don’t forget a thing. On information
pages, such as car hire and insurance, you will find a list of companies offering
travel extras. Cheapflights' experts have produced a series of travel tips
to help your trip go as smoothly as possible before you fly, while you fly and
when you land. From getting married abroad to compensation rules for
travellers, our experts have done the research.
The Cheapflights golden rule
Shop around, as no one company can ever always have the
