November until January are the busiest times of the year making flights to Cape Town more expensive. During school holidays cause higher prices and a lot more crowds, especially in December and January as this is the South African summer holiday period. There is a historic Second New Year Parade at the beginning of January which features thousands of people dressed in luminous multicoloured suits.
