Peak season:
Gibraltar is busiest between June and September when the weather is warmest, with lots of festivals and events in the summer months. You’ll struggle to find the cheapest flights to Gibraltar during these months, so make sure you secure your flight tickets well in advance to make a saving. The Calentita Nights festival is a wonderful street party which marks the end of Gibraltar’s Spring Festival and normally takes place in June. There is also Gibraltar’s National Day celebration on September 10th, which definitely shouldn’t be missed if you’re already there. There is live music, fireworks, thousands of balloons and even DJ’s all across the city, with locals crowding the streets all throughout the night.
Off season:
You’ll find the cheapest flights to Gibraltar, as well as the cheapest accommodation, during December to February. These winter months are usually cooler but not necessarily cold, therefore tourism levels are a lot lower, making bargains much easier to find. Early spring time and late August (April to early May and late September to mid-October) are also great times to find cheap flights to Gibraltar. With the lack of festivals and lower tourism, you’ll find the city is a lot less crowded too.

If weather is an important factor for your trip to Gibraltar, use this chart to help with planning. For those seeking warmer temperatures, August is the ideal time of year to visit, when temperatures reach an average of 24.0 C. Travellers hoping to avoid the cold should look outside of January, when temperatures are typically at their lowest (around 13.0 C).
Depending on what you you plan to do on vacation will depend on when the best time to book your flights to Gibraltar will be. If you’re hoping to avoid the crowds, then aim for spring, autumn or winter but make sure you’ve booked your flight tickets a couple of months in advance to make a saving. The events and festivals of the summer will increase the price of flights and accommodation, so make sure you secure your flights to Gibraltar as early as you can. If you aren’t restricted by school holidays or a particular block of days, then you’ll find the cheapest flights to Gibraltar a lot more easily without having to book as early. As such, being flexible is your best friend when it comes to saving money.

No Easyjet complaints, the flight was ok but bumpy due to the weather - However, Manchester Airport completely messed up this journey. * The aircrqft was parked at Gate 11, the gate call was made for Gate 11 but then the gate changed we were sent to a bus gate (20) the photo ID verification started late, delaying the flight. We had to board the bus in heavy rain, to take us to Gate 11. * The weater was stormy, there was no rear steps as is normally the case with Easyjet, presumably the airport decided not to provide them. * Rain was torrential, and due to front steps only, we all got soaked standing on the front steps, we were forced off the bus into the rain.
