“If you’re going to San Francisco, be sure to wear flowers in your hair” – and be sure to nab a fantastic hotel deal from Galleria Park.

In honour of its 100th birthday, the Galleria Park Hotel – part of the Joie De Vivre hotel chain – is offering guests a discount on room rates equivalent to their own birthday year.

The older you are, the cheaper your room will be. Go for a long weekend, stay two or more nights and, as part of the Centennial Package, the final night price will be dependent on your age. If you were born in 1972, the cost will be $19.72 (a bargain £12). The deal applies for visits between Thursdays and Sundays until the end of the year.

The Art Nouveau-designed Galleria Park is centrally located between San Fran’s Union Square and the Financial District and even boasts a rooftop garden and jogging track.

Hotel guests can also make use of a free Golden Gate Greeter volunteer-led tour of San Francisco. Visit www.jdvhotels.com to book.
